Lady Jane Churchill

Principal, Jane Churchill Interiors London

Jane Churchill is a name so synonymous with British Interiors that it is recognised world over. Thirty years ago it was her vast and successful collection of fabrics and wallpapers that made Jane a household name: when this half of her rapidly growing empire was sold she made the permanent move into Interior Design. Jane Churchill Interiors has been trading at 81 Pimlico Road ever since. With a 48-programme television series under her belt and books published on both sides of the Atlantic, Jane has made a name for herself as one of the world’s go-to interior designers. As a designer, Lady Jane Spencer-Churchill is renowned for two things. First is her traditional sense of style, which manifests itself in her love of all things British. The second is her take on modern design and contemporary flair that she brings to her interiors. Her ethos of combining the ‘old’ with the ‘new’ has made Jane Churchill Interiors the go-to name for homes that are as classic as they are current; as elegant as they are fun and as beautiful as they are functional. Throughout her career, Jane has completed a huge range of projects. Her expertise has been called upon to work with everything from London townhouses, country homes and restaurants, to a box at Ascot racecourse, the interior of a Rolls Royce and even a rickshaw. The close-knit team have maintained long relationships with suppliers, contractors and clients, many of whom have become friends returning over the years with subsequent design work. A testament to the personal touch Jane Churchill Interiors infuses into every project. Jane’s interiors seek to represent the individuality of both the property and the client, giving each room in each home its own identity. This is as true for a small London mews House as it is for an 18th century chateau in the French countryside…or a rickshaw.
